I was working up in San Luis Obispo County this week. Met Tim, a car guy
(nonLBC) who took me to his "garage" - a metal barn about 2,500 sq ft. In
there he had a pair of gorgeous Woodies - a blown 53 Ford & a totally
original late 40's Plymouth with 29k miles, a chopped & sectioned Studie
ready for paint, and a couple of chassises & engines being rebuilt. Garage
included a 4-post hoist, sandblast cabinet, compressors & every tool I could
imagine. Work benches & storage covered 2 whole walls. The 3rd wall was taken
up by his office, antique gas pumps, coke machines, car/oil/gas signs from
30's to 50's.
Tim's adding a loft soon for his office & has a car "stacker" on order, so he
will have room for more cars.
I tried not to drool too much. Probably could have fit 15-20 Spridgets in his
garage, with plenty of room for working on each of them.
Ah, well ... I can dream.
