My reground 1275 cam, came in with a 3 degree advance. (Opening at 8 degrees 
BTDC)  Vizard's book recommended an advance of 4 degrees, so I left it alone. 
Haven't driven it yet, and this will be my first 1275 ride, so can't tell you 
weather or not it worked.
If you recall I had fits with a misprint concerning the valve timing 
clearances. Use what is specified by Vizard, not Haynes or Chilton
