No experience making pedals, but have you thought about simply adding some 
kind of extension to the existing pedals? Are you looking to move the pedal 
pads down toward the floor or back toward the driver? If the latter I would 
think you could add some kind of block to the existing pedal pad itself 
easier than making entirely new pedals. Also depending on how you did it it 
may be more easily reversible if you ever sell the car.

Just some thoughts.
