Chuck:  do you think the bushings in a Mallory would be gone after 10K miles or
less?  Or...how much radial play in the shaft is acceptable?  I doubt it's
weight related, cause it happens at idle too.  Could it be the condenser that is
shorting intermittently as someone else suggested?  Since the cond. is in
parallel with the points I would think so, but don't know if they fail
intermittently.  Thanks.
