ok chuck(geez! it feels like i'm talking to myself here....)
here's what will work and do a flat rate job but yer gonna have to buy a
tool! you need a variable speed dremel tool(modelers use them) . a
carbide burr about the size of the of the seams or about the largest size
you can chuck up in the bit(without having contact with the tile on both
sides ). lay 2 (straight!)yard sticks out 1 on either side of the grout
seam to use as guides to protect the tile's edges use duct tape to secure
the yard sticks. (ya knew duct tape had to be in here somewhere ...right?)
use the dremel tool at about a 45 degree angle to the grout line and draw
the tool back towards you do not try to push the tool forward as you will
probably stall the tool or run into the side of a tile. use what ever type
of protection for your eyes and respiratory system you feel comfortable with
, but wear something! it will take a while but it will work! it will
create dust but the carbide burr will really tear up the grout. you may
want to buy a spare bit or two as this job will dull a bit after a while.
did this at a friends and had awsome results!

I believe I know what is a hammer drill. That ain't it.
When I was younger, working in a welding/fabrication
shop, after welding a large seam with white wire at about
200 amps, I used to clean off the flux with what we used
to call a "scaler." It was a reciprocating pneumatic chisel.
No drills. No drill bits. This was a chisel head that reciprocated.
Used it to knock off the flux. Maybe also to smooth the
weld.
I need an electric version of that.

I know, I know, nothing to do with LBCs, but
if anyone would know the answer, it's you guyz.
I want to regrout the tile on our kitchen floor. Forst, I
want to remove all the old grout. AND I do not own an
air compressor. So, I wonder does anyone make
either:
A. An electric version of a pneumatic chipper (like a
mini jackhammer, or
2. A chipper adapter to be used with an electric drill.
Eh?
