Sure its worth the effort. Had the same situation with my 95 Mustang and
a recall on headgaskets. I just walked in and showed them the repair
reciept and they made a copy.
2 weeks later had a check and details of the recall mailed to my house.
They even paid for the towing and the new water pump that was not part
of the recall.
