Apparently it will ruin the starter. I really have no idea how you could
wire one up backwards. I thought there was only one wire? Who knows. This
fellow has owned the Midget since new and last time I saw it, it still looked
immaculate.
He trashed the engine over a year ago. At first he was going to install some
sort of Toyota power, and then some may remember I asked the list about a
replacement 1500. I didn't hear any more about it until last week when my
wife told me he had installed a "new" engine.
I suggested to him that his new condenser might be bad, and yesterday
offered my 1275 dizzy for him to try. All the messages are getting forwarded
to him, so we'll see how it goes.
