Obviously, you gave little thought to this
before asking your wife, she obviously
knows you gave little thought to it before
asking her (as she knows you by now and
realizes how totally helpless you are with-
out her) and thus her response was quite
appropriate as you obviously, "should have known" (which is what FAA
enforce-
ment tell us when we make any sort of
error, though they cannot tell us the
"how" or "why" we "should have known"
any more than your wife can!) and there-
fore you deserve the "single finger" so
to speak.
