In the past I have seen the following causes for your problem: 1. Someone overtightened the clamp and crushed the body of the distributor which can no longer offer resistance to the clamp sufficient to hold it in place. 2. The clamp bolt is stripped. 3. The clamp is cracked. As you tighten the bolt you just enlarge the crack and you don't put any presure on the dist. body. Regards, Bill E. |
