Hey Youse Guyz,

After repeated applications of pentrating oil, continuous charging
of the battery (for more oomph), and about 2 hours of
intermittent (sp??) applications of the starter in bursts, the
$#@&% bolt is out and the timing cover is off and soaking
in solvent. Whoopee!

I see that the rubber oil seal that rings the crank end looks
a little rough. And maybe I see evidence of seepage at the
gasket. But I can't see any crack in the brazing of the oil can.
I've tried flexing the cover with liquid in it, and nothing shows.

I have several choices:

A. Get someone to rebraze just for the heckovit.
2. Buy a "used" timing cover from my local (no, not a pub)
Flying Circus British Cars who will in turn order it
from someone in Ohio who parts out old cars.
c. Just put the cover back with new gasket and oil seal
    and hope for the best.

Your votes, gentlemen??
