The rings on my 948 rebuild finally seated at just unde 1000 miles. Almost 1800
on it now and still not broken in fully. If your rings have not seated in 3000
miles, you may have glazed walls in the cylinders and the rings will never seat
properly. May also explain the oil loss. (blowby)
