On Thursday, June 28, 2001 The "Mighty Midget" became a statue of demolished
material. At 7:09 pm a 1985 Honda Prelude came barreling down the road at
app. 60 miles per hour and T-Boned my brand new 1976 MG Midget. For 18
months I bleed, and I cried all my life into a magnificent creature of the
road, only to have it on the road for a month and exactly one thousand miles
put on to the fresh new car. It took all of 10 seconds for my pride and joy
to crumble up into a motionless pile of metal. As my car came to a crashing
halt from 2 360 degree spins I thought to myself....This dude is about to
receive the ass kicking of a life time. Unfortunately I remained somewhat
calm until the police and my parents arrived. At that time I broke down and
cried until I had no more tears to cry. All this 20 year old kid can say to
me (a 16 year old) is..."I'm sorry, dude"....Yeah, well sorry just doesn't
cut it. I must now pry myself from the land of sorrow, the place where
every part of me just wants to be, so I can restore my car back to its
original state.
I am asking anybody out there if they might have or know of any 1975-1979 MG
Midget frame, tub, rolling chassis, whatever. Preferably a rust free car
because I am going to strip all the parts salvageable parts off of my baby
and exchange them onto this new car that I get from one of you. I care
nothing of what color it is, or if it has good seats, or good suspension, I
don't need an engine or any main part. I just need to good fenders, a nice
rust free tub, and a nice dash, but I have a dash cap so it should be ok to
fix the cracks in the top.
Please!! Help me out! I don't want to spend more than $300 on this tub!!
Thank you,
Will Speed
