Maybe it's more the switches than the fluid. On my 1990 Harley, a pressure switch is used in the rear system (with DOT5), and it has never leaked. This looks like the same sort of pressure switch that we have commonly seen in American cars for years, the simple off-the-shelf item. NAPA sells them for about $4, HD gets $10.
