I opened up my Weber DGAV carburetor yesterday to clean them up. I used a
Hayne's manual for float setting specs. It called for 39mm with the float
just touching the jet and 50 mm at full swing, which is what I set it to.
After setting and closing the carb, I opened my OTHER Weber manual by Pat
Bradenton and found different settings for the floats than listed in the
Hanyes manual, and which I had used. The Bradenton manual lists 35 mm at
vertical and 51 mm at full swing (This is for the DVG, which is essentially
the same carb but without the automatic choke). Why would there be two
different settings for the floats in the same carb? Does that mean a couple
of mm arent crucial? Does anyone know which of the two are correct?
