I think the only viable option for mounting a sensor wheel would be off of the
cam drivebelt pulley. It would still be a lot of work. However, I really like
the idea of being able to program an advance curve with a laptop, lower
maintenence, less junk under the hood. Their $900 setup can take input from a
knock sensor and a vacuum sensor.
When I consider the fact that my last $168.00 distributor lasted for two years
before the vacuum capsule died and the bearings went out AND that performance
distributors run at around $300.....
If I decide not to do a crank trigger system on my MG, I am still interested in
doing it on my Jag. I've heard that the longer-stroked 4.2s can really benefit
from ignition improvements.
