1. cubic inches,
2. cam selection,
3. matching inlet/carb and free flowing exhaust.
Note that the manifold and exhaust should be of a free flow design, but
smaller diameter
than on big HP engines.
e.g. DCOE 40 instead of 45, smaller choke sizes in the weber (say 34mm instead
of
40mm in a DCOE45), 1.5" diameter exhaust instead of 2"
I liked the Kent 266 cam as a good all round cam with a good head and 1.5
rockers.
but you could go for slightly less duration and perhaps even more lift.
I like the 1380cc, but some folk may prefer a +0.060" bore.
