I've been lurking for a while, partly because
a) I've started a new job (R&D Software Engineer for Silicon
Graphics). SGI have a core OS group known as the Performance
Tools Group located in Melbourne Australia - lucky for me.
I have been an academic in Computer Graphics/Computer Science,
a farmer/vigneron (still am on weekends), Aerospace Engineer
(not since the mid-80s), and of course Sprite racer and Rally driver.
b) My dearest and I are soon to have a new child (#3, #1 is 9, #2 is
nearly 7). This of course means that her off-fam income had to be
replaced and the new house had to be started and our intermediate
house had to be renovated... The baby is due in October.
c) I have been busy with renovations (see b) to spend much time on
the Spridgets or even competition. My last event was the Lactos rally
in Feb, the next probably the 6 Hour relay race in August.
cheers, Mike
lots of spridgets, lots of wine, a beautiful farm and wonderful family
