Larry,
Not exactly local, but there is a guy in San Francosco that will. He's good
and he's quite reasonable. Rebuilt my Volvo alternator for about 1/2 to 1/3
of buying a rebuilt, gave it back to me in one hour so I could reinstall it
the same day, and gave me a 1 year warrantee to boot. I'm sure he will work
via UPS too. Let me know if you want he name.
I heard the same thing on the Trooper starter retro-fit, but there may be
others that don't require the extra space. I know my friend Chuck uses one
on his race car that doesn't require it, but they're expensive (about
$300). Check with Paul A. I know he sells one, but not sure on the
size/space issue.
BTW, do you know what a used used DCOE45/manifold is worth?
