I hit send before I was finished on the prior version of this post.
Installed the Pertronix Ignitor this afternoon and it took about 5 minutes
like everybody said it would.
The only thing I've noticed so far is much easier cold starting and much
better running before the engine gets up to operating temperature. Normally
the car can barely be driven until it warms up. After installation it
started right up and I took it for a spin immediately before warming up.
Reset the timing on the drive using the "go, stop, change, go" method. I had
to move it a long way from where it was positioned before.
I will re-time it at full advance this weekend.
I am driving it to work tomorrow so will see how it starts in the morning
when it's cold and damp.
