My thinking on this - THe LBC crowd represent, what maybe 20 - 30% of the
show cars, but probably 50 - 75% of the vendors. If the LBC's stay away,
then why would the vendors attend. I am sure, but not positive, that
Carlisle Prod makes a significant chunk of change off the vendors. I
beleive that is where we need to focus this outrage. Let the damn custom
cars have the Sept date, we didn't really need them there anyway. I am
attempting to compose a letter of protest to be presented to the MG
Council meeting, to be held about 11 AM on Sat the 20th. Unfortunately I
will not be there, but I am forwarding the letter to Dave Houser from the
MG list. The first draft is in the form of a petition. If it ends up that
way, stop by and sign it. I will let all know my progress on this.
If the Jakes thing works I will be there next May, come hell or high
water!!!
BTW sorry this issue has come up so late here - it has been discussed on
the MG list for a few weeks, and I count myself in being remiss in
reporting this to the Spridget list. I hate cross posting, but sometimes
it works for the good of all.
