The '75 freebie is at an LBC shop because I gave up on me ever getting it
running. They seem to be almost as stumped as I was. It is popping on one
cylinder (popping through the carb), and the two middle cylinders seem to
have a little lower compression than the outer two. It turns over and
fires, but won't actually start. The initial diagnosis involves one or more
of the following: stuck valves, timing chain off a few, or head gasket.
Anybody ever experience anything like this? Any ideas? Thanks!
adrian,
going via Honda power to Townsend on Saturday...yet again
