Allen - I have no idea what seatbelts you have - but that is not stock.
They actually do sit in a funny "L": shaped bracket that allows them to
sit level (parallel to the ground). They did on the 76 and on the 78. I
can't quite beleive that the77 would be different nin that regard. (I
need the passenger side bracket for my 78 and then I will have an extra
drivers side one for somebody)
