radiator... new or recore?

My mechanic (whoa that sounds strange) noticed that my radiator was about
60% useless. Its been repaired too many times and allot of the little tubes
are cut and soldered. Can my local rad shop recore it? how much does the
recoring cost? or should I shell out $160 for a new M0$$ unit?   Anybody got
any good clean and not damaged radiators they would like to part with? Can
trade for spridget shirts (I got too many extras for myself), beer or cash.
