Allen, What kind of engines have you worked on?? Adjusting the valve lash
while the engine is running is an old tried and true method for adjusting
the valves on 'murican V-8's with hydralic lifters. Don't remember the
exact procedure, but I used to do it way back when, when I was working an
for American Motors Dealer (that should date that).
