Yep, California is high in this reguard. That is what they quoted me too. $100
and they wouldn't guaranty it wouldn't leak or break when installed. They told
me
that most break when they are removed. I used a sharp putty knife on mine to
remove the glass, it cut the old gasket real nice and the glass fell into my
hands
or rather the carpet on the living room floor.
Installing it is a little different. Lots of soap and patients. The rope trick
didn't work on mine. I ended up using some wooden paint sticks as they
wouldn't
harm the rubber. With these I was able to slip the glass between the two edges.
The T strip just takes time and patients. Lots of patients.
