I haven't replaced the visor clips, but I did drill out the rivets on the
header bar when I replaced my hood. The new sheet metal screws went right
back in beautifully.
Try a 1/8" drill. Drill a hole in a scrap piece of sheet metal and try to
put a screw into it. If it works, it'll work for the visor clips.
Experiment with other sizes if it doesn't work to your satisfaction.
BTW, I went to Sears Hardware and picked up a variety of stainless steel
sheet metal screws to use as replacements wherever needed. Don't have to
worry about them rusting.
