I made a "c" channel of steel and spot welded it to the bottom of the frame
rails. The stiffness that it added was definitely noticeable. The bumper
brackets are flimsy. Tried to use them as pull points on the frame rack,
and they just tore out like they were mounted in cardboard. By adding the
thicker steel to the bottom of the frame rail, it also allowed me to
slightly reposition the mounting points for the sway bar to optimize it for
the lowered ride height.
