Newest Larry, aka Woodrat,
The 'little holes and points' have nothing to do with installing
your seat cover. What those clever, engineered things are for I
have no idea. However, the two round holes on either side
framing the others are used for connecting your seat cover. The
rear of the cover is fastened to the upward lip on the rear of
the seat pan. The material is pulled to the rear, excess material
folded back on itself (under) so that when pulled into place the
edge of the doubled material is equal with the lip edge and
clipped from above. My original seat has 7 clips across the
rear. The two round holes are used for the rear of the side
material. It was folded into a long triangle and pulled into the
round hole and clipped. On my Bugeye a DPO recovered the seats
and used those well engineered holes and points in and attempt to
anchor the material which only resulted in tearing the seat cover
so bad I could not refasten it as it should have been. Hope this
helps.
