Dave:
Regarding your message about looking for a qualified engine builder, I
strongly recommend Jon Stamps of Jon Stamps Racing in Temple, GA, just west
of Atlanta. Jon has built all my engines after I and my racing buddy built
the first one. One I decided to invest in a high performance engine for my
'67 Midget, I wanted the best I could get for the money. Jon is very
familiar with both HSR and SVRA rules and builds and supports cars for
drivers in both groups. He, himself, is an active SCCA H Production racer
in his own very successful Bugeye, having been second in the Runoffs a few
years ago. He also builds cars and engines for current SCCA racers. He is
an engineer and he knows what works and what doesn't. He has something like
30 years experience with Spridgets. His phone number is (770) 832-7471.
I have no financial or other interest, but am just passing along my
recommendations after almost ten years experience.
