thank you those brave individuals who have (and those who might yet) replied
to my post. to some the admission of these tendancies may be embarassing
among friends or colleauges. i understand. it is not easy to overcome the
set of limitations that are unfortunatly provided by this afliction. weither
diagnosed or not challenges are character builders and we are a bunch! by
the way learning disabilities were not researched or diagnosed back when i
was in school, i was just stupid, stubborn or rebellious by the terms back
then.
i personally have educators in my family. my problem aereas were math and
english. my uncle was a math professor at bloomsburg college, my father has
3 degrees in english,german and history for jr./sr. high school, grandmother
was an elementary educator, aunt head librarian for secondary schools in
local district, aunt who was a chemistry teacher at local high school, and
there are more! everyone wanted to try to help me. flash cards, reviews
etc. to no avail. i still could not get grades any better than just barely
passing. constantly being told you are a bright child , you are not
applying yourself. i survived 2&1/2 years of college and thanks to
calculators graduated with an associates degree in automotive technology.
there is a "but" here , i can not multiply or divide nor do proper english
grammar/punctuation, but i can add and subtract like a bandit(some sort of
mental compensation i guess).
i tend to not give up on problem stuff. my hat's off to those who are
willing to share their challenges.

vaccume cleaners, do they suck or is it the creation of negative pressure in
a controlled aerea causing items to rush into that space in an attempt for
atmospheric pressure to balance the aerea of negative
pressure?.........................talk amongst yourself.......i'm verklempt
here!....lol.
