I picked up a reasonably good original bugeye jack at the Portland All
British on Labor Day Weekend for $15 .......... prior to that, I had passed
on others offered to me at $50 and $75. There aren't many of them around,
and finding the correct King Dick wrench that turns the jack is an even
bigger challenge (I'm still looking, if anyone has one...).

Ebay is no different than any other auctions, if two people really want
something (maybe the jack is the only thing they need to complete their
concours restoration), then the money becomes secondary. On a different
week, the same item could go by with no bids.
