I developed a high speed miss (hi speed for me was 60 mph) with a Mallory dual point and I have an alternator. It got to be annoying enough to go back to a Lucas dizzy. Both points were set correctly, I still have it in a box, there was no (noticable) difference between the Mallory and the Lucas other then the miss went away when the Lucas went in.
