Shawn,
I don't know if you are on the track to fixing this yet, but here goes.
First rule Never split a caliper! (have to say that)
Once you do, never intermix halves. Its OK to reuse the bolts, in fact
better than possibly using new but wrong bolts. Be sure to use a new
o-ring. (not available in all kits) Be careful not to ding the mating
surfaces. Re-torque the bolts to 35lbft, dry.
Sometimes the seal will deteriorate if an unsuitable cleaning agent has
been used even though the caliper has not been separated.
My advise for a quick, easy, safe repair is to purchase a rebuilt
caliper.
These are available from not only the specialists but also from
remanufacturers as Raybestos, A-1 Cardone, Crown, etc. "regular" parts
suppliers.
Good luck, be safe. Peter C
