Our mistake, it does look like the first Midgets did have disk wheels. At
least there is a nice picture of the "new" Midget in the Sep. 1961 issue of
R&T with disk wheels. It also has small hub caps like the Sprite. This
picture is part of their "Letter From London" column which includes the
statment " British Motor Corporation, - - - now brings out an MG Midget",
note this is in Sep. The GAN2's did have wire wheels, we are using the banjo
from one for the wires on our Bugeye. While looking through our R&T archives
did notice a road test of the Innocenti S in the May 1964 issue.
Will try to remember to engage archives before opening mouth, but do not

Midget (no. 2395) has disk wheels and the same drum-brake front end as a
bugeye. As far as I know wires were NOT an option, until disk brakes became
available, just as they weren't on Sprites
