Definitely what WST said, especially balancing. If
you have any reason to suspect block/head are not
perfect, have them magnafluxed. Valve guides,
springs, surface head. Of course, freeze plugs and
there are a couple of oil gallery plugs that you
should drill out prior to hot tanking. I found these
after and got a lot of crap out of my seemingly
spotless block. Tapped and used threaded plugs
afterward. I later found this in Vizard, BTW. Buy
some oil gallery brushes and power wash that block
after it comes back. I guarantee you more crap will
come out.
