Well, since the Midget is running so much better, I got brave last night and
drove around. It's a totally different car. No longer do I fear stalling
at a traffic light.
So, this morning, went out, saw both cars sitting in my driveway (the Midget
and the Accord), threw my stuff in the trunk of the Midget and off I went.
Quickly stopped at the gas station, and then found myself getting on the
interstate. Not a problem, not even a miss or an attempted stall. I was
worried about coming to a stop after being on the highway, but no problems.
She kept up with traffic even.
The oil leak is all but gone. I used some blue "make-a-gasket" goopy stuff
on the fuel pump and that definitely was the problem. The little drip or
two I saw could be left over oil. Now to figure out the smoke issue...
Thanks for everybody's help at putting a big silly grin on my face on the
commute to work (by helping me get it running)!
