I'd like to thank everyone for offers of help. I appreciate it. This list,
as always, is terrific!
Since Chris Palmer seems closest, I'll take up his offer of help. I'm
getting Chris to ring the previous owner of a '65 Midget that is now
in Australia. It was registered to a fellow in Walnut Creek up until '95
when it was shipped to Australia. It still has various discarded personal
effects of the PO in the car. It looks as though it was well looked after
but I'd like to know more of the car's story. It had a drive-in/drive-out
spray job that is pretty reasonable but could be hiding some nasties.
It seems like it was sold in a hurry (otherwise why not remove the personal
effects?) so I'm curious...
