hi John
You must be able to get them somewhere. I drove a 70MkIII midget today
and it had one (chrome). It looked good and, being higher than the top of my
head (which my roll bar is not) should offer some protection if mounted
well.
I was driving past a dealer (cnr North rd and Nepean hwy Brighton) in my
mkII sprite and thought I'd pretend to have money! It was my first drive of
a 1275 powered spridget and I must say....I'm impressed by what an extra few
cc's can do. I definitely have to have one...unless I find a 1220cc coventry
climax engine first.
BTW they're asking AUD$8800 for the car. It's red, looks very good in and
out, but needs suspension work on the front right side at least, as there
was a real shudder at certain speeds and when I bounced that corner of the
car, it just kept on bouncing.
