Ric,
since you have a 5-speed, all bets are off.  The speedo is connected to
the tranns, and the Datsun trans has a different speedo drive ratio than
the ribcase.  You can buy a (somewhat expensive) angle-drive adapter from
Rivergate that they will custom gear for your car and whatever speedo you
have, of you can try to get lucky by using different drive ratios
available from Nissan.  
If you want to get wild, you can ask Frank "we tight" Clarici: he is using
a 140mph MGB speedo with a 120mph Spridget face with good results...

You can also have your speedo recalibrated by a specialist.

I can't tell you what kind of speedo yours is, but if it fits the opening
in the dash, I think it is the speedo that was used until the start of the
plastic dash in '68 (?).  So any tach before then would work and look
good.
