Friend of mine has this same good/bad problem with his Miata.
Had great fun slipping it around corners when stock. Now he's put
shorter, stiffer springs and wide, sticky tires on it. Corners much
faster now, but you have to go WAYYY too fast to hang the tail out. ;-)
