You know someone on the list here said it recently. . . . that you don't get
in and out of a sprite, but you put it on and take it off, much like a
sweater . . . . and (get ready here it comes) he's not heavy, he's my
bugeye!
Actually I ran the car today for the first time this year. I pushed the
prime lever on the the fuel pump about a dozen times until I could smell the
gas in the carbs, pulled out the choke, hit the starter and it started like
it was just sitting for ten minutes. I was impressed. I took it out to go to
the autoparts store for some oil and that five mile trip only took two
hours. The owner of the bodyshop accross the street from the autoparts store
actually got in his car and chased me down to talk sprites. He had of course
had one in earlier years and I couldn't get away from him. Nice guy, good
to befriend a bodyshop owner interested in Sprites I guess. You never know.
I'm READY for St. Louis. If only I could figure out a way to get Leo to stay
home. (don't let him see this) haa haa
