I think you might have a master cylinder from a RH drive car. Where is the
clutch master cylinder?

Subject: Master cylinder conversion
I am attempting to upgrade the master cylinder on my 1960 sprite to the
later dual master cylinder system (1968 and later models). I read up on
the messages on this subject in the list archive and am a little puzzled
about this conversion.
According to the messages I have seen on this, all that is required to
convert to the later system is that an adapter plate be made and the
existing pedal slot be widened a little to accommodate the pedals on the
newer box. Of course, being a dual master cylinder system, the brake
lines must be modified to take advantage of the two outputs on the
master cylinder. 1968 and later models use the same pedal assembly and
master cylinder right? The one I have is out of a 73 midget.
When I went to fit the dual pedal box up, I noticed that the brake line
outputs coming out of the master cylinder run right into the wiper motor
housing. What am I missing here?
Thanks
Rick
