I'm right in the middle of replacing the front suspension on my '71 Midget.
The track rod ends have pretty well fused themselves to the rest of the
steering rack with rust (I've already broken a wrench trying to free one of
them).
I thought that I might just as well replace the steering rack seeing they
are pretty cheap (looks like it will need doing very soon anyway - gaters
are very shot etc).
Now, to remove it I will need to remove the radiator obviously. Has anybody
any tips for the rack removal / reassembly - how is the steering column
effected?
