Hi Monty,
I've been told that many of the tops will shrink when they get old. In a
warm climate mine is much easier to install from in the Summer than the
Winter. Many installers will make them tight to keep the wrinkles and
flapping in the wind down. Take her out in the sun shine and let the top
warm up. If you are in a cold climate, a hallogen lamp works too. Just
don't get the lamp too close and start a fire or worse melt the top.
