Ah those fond memories of my son and our pinewood derby days.
Our Bugeye looked more like a TR3 when it was finished but we also did
real good.
Graphite of course but the hollowed out body filled with enough mercury
(yup the bad stuff) to "kick it in the butt" when it left the gate
really helped too.
Hey, the mercury was metal, and the rules alowwed it. I had it VERY well
sealed so not to pose any hazzards to the kids. That car still sits on
my sons shelf, he is pushing 20. (man am I getting old!)
