Mike, Thanks, this is the type of fact based answer I was hoping to get. I think that in some situations people are trying to justify the modifications they have done by saying that "you could get anything" from the factory. What I do not think people understand is that it is much more difficult to change a production assembly line item (such as brakes) than pulling one body out and painting it a special colour. After all, until recently Ford found it easier (read cheaper) to cut the tops off a mustang coope to make a convertible than to re-tool the body assembly. Herb |
