I just tightened the last bolt on the flywheel. Now, except for
mounting the clutch, my engine is ready to go back in. I install it
using two people, a chain, and a piece of lumber, so I don't build it
all the way before installation. Anyhoo, it's nice to reach a
milestone. Just thought I'd share. I was thinking of Robert Weeks
while I was mounting the rear oil seal (although this is a 1500 engine)
and hoping I wasn't creating any future leaks (wasn't Mr. Weeks the
fellow with the major oil leak recently?). We'll see! Now I just have
to put on my new engine mounts and then start sanding rust on my parts
collection (radiator housing, heater, etc etc) until the car comes back
from the paint shop.
