Hi Spridgeteers,
Well my engine rebuild is pretty close to being finished. Thanks to
everyone who has helped so far.
I have a two more questions if anyone has the time to answer them:
First off, does anyone know the thickness of the friction material on a new
clutch? The clutch that came off of this engine looks brand new and I was
wondering if there was a way to verify that.
Secondly, does anyone have a start up checklist ot things to do before and
during the first engine start up after a rebuild? I seem to remember bits
and pieces; prime the oil pump, get the oil pressure up with the plugs
removed, etc. But I can't seem to remember it all. Isn't there a bed in
time and rpm for the cam, etc?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Robert Weeks
