Hi Ulix, list,

I tend not to disclose my dyno figures because they are really only relevant
to the dyno I use and different dynos read a bit different. The one I use has
a reputation for reading on the high side. Also, the weather, temperature,
humidity etc can make a big difference. Even tyre pressures and tyre types
can vary the dyno readings.

I also find that dyno 'numbers' can get exagerrated so I just keep quiet on my
numbers and note how much more they were than a previous engine specification
or whatever.

The spec of my engine is a bit lengthy but it is 1312cc with a useless
unleaded not big enough inlet valve head and a 286 scatter cam with hi lift
rockers. The engine is not achieving all it might with the cam it has - due
to the poor head. Carb is a 45 DCOE. Exhaust is a 3 into 1 CV with an RC40.

Why don't more people use a chassis dyno?
