rear spring installation

I'm replacing a broken rear spring.  The old one came off pretty
easily... getting the new one on is harder.  I'm wondering in what
order should I try to reconnect the front mounting plate, the u-bolts
around the axle and the bolt through the rear hanging bracket.  Anyone
done this before?
